Angelah Cramer

LMSW, CAADC, CCS

EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist

Founder & Director | Purple Change Wellness®

For more than two decades, Angelah Cramer has devoted her work to helping adults heal with clarity, compassion, and depth. As a visionary founder and director of Purple Change Wellness®, she has created a space where healing is approached with intention, gentleness, and clinical excellence. Her work honors the belief that true change begins at the roots, where patterns form, where resilience lives, and where healing becomes possible.

With a calm, grounded presence, Angelah supports individuals who move through the world with depth, sensitivity, and complexity, including gifted, high-achieving, and high-functioning autistic adults, as well as those who appear capable and composed on the surface while carrying unseen emotional, sensory, or relational challenges underneath. She creates spaces where these hidden experiences are recognized, validated, and gently unraveled, allowing clients to build self-trust, clarity, and a renewed sense of possibility.

As a Certified EMDR Therapist through EMDRIA and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Therapist, Angelah guides adults through adverse and overwhelming experiences using evidence-based approaches that restore balance and strengthen the nervous system. She is a Michigan-licensed clinical and macro master’s level social worker and a Florida-licensed clinical master’s level social worker, with advanced training from the Wayne State University School of Social Work and the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center.

Her leadership extends beyond the therapy space. Angelah partners with universities to mentor and supervise graduate-level social work interns, cultivating the next generation of clinicians with an emphasis on emotional intelligence, ethical practice, and attuned, human-centered care. Through both Purple Change Wellness® and the Purple Change Wellness® Institute, she is shaping a future where clinicians are not only skilled, but deeply grounded, compassionate, and prepared to serve complex adults with nuance and respect.

As a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC) and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS), Angelah supports clinicians on their path toward certification and licensure, offering supervision that blends accountability with empowerment. Her earlier experience as an EMT, paramedic, and emergency medicine research assistant, paired with her ACE Health Coach Certification, adds a unique, whole-person wellness lens to her work.

Across every role, Angelah brings steady, intuitive presence and a gift for seeing the strengths beneath the struggle. She notices patterns often missed, subtle threads that reveal where healing, clarity, and growth is ready to unfold. She continues to innovate in business and wellness, creating environments where clients and colleagues cultivate resilience, emotional intelligence, and meaningful, lasting change.

Outside her professional world, Angelah finds grounding in exploring other cultures through travel, immersing herself in the rhythms, stories, and subtle subcultures that reveal how people live, connect, and make meaning. She is equally restored by unhurried time in nature, movement that feels nourishing, and creative exploration that open space for reflection. Reading is one of her deepest joys, especially when it invites her to question what is already known, stretch beyond familiar ideas, and explore perspectives that challenge her thinking on a deeper level. Curiosity is a steady thread in her life, guiding her toward ideas, places, and experiences that bring a sense of balance, renewal, and connection far beyond her work.
